Brand Directory: Marc Nicolet

Marc Nicolet is a relation to the famous Nicolet family of watchmakers who started their business in Tramelan, Switzerland in 1875. Famous for producing grand complication pocket watches. After Armand Nicolet's death in 1939 his son, Willy ran the business establishing it as one of the largest watchmakers in Switzerland. During the 1970s and 80s quartz crisis, their reputation and contacts meant they survived whilst many other companies folded. In 1987 Willy met Rolando Braga an Italian watch enthusiast who has helped to drive the company forward. Today the company runs under the brand name Armand Nicolet.
