Brand Directory: BWC
BWC is an old watch company founded in 1924 and still makes watches today, BWC stands for Buttes Watch Company as the founder (Arthur Charlet) was born in Buttes, Switzerland. The company is most known for its chronographs from the 70s featuring Lemania and Landeron movements and often bright colours, which was very fitting for the time.
Since 2003 BWC has been owned by the German Pforzheim company Starck-Uhren, and since 2004 watches are manufactured in Biel Switzerland and Pforzheim Germany. In 2006 the company Carl Engelkemper from Münster bought the sole distribution rights for Germany. BWC celebrated their 85 years anniversary in 2009.
