Actus was a sub-brand of Seiko the same as the Alpinist or the Prospex brands are today. Made for JDM (Japanese Domestic Market). The Actus had a higher jeweled movement and was marketed by Seiko as a “young, activity line”, a step up from the standard Seiko 5. It had all the Seiko 5 attributes of automatic, waterproof, day, date and shock resistance. All their watches are handmade without the assistance of computers.
