This watch is sold with its Oris box, swing tag, and paperwork. It comes paired with a 19mm Oris vintage-style Rubber strap and signed buckle. The watch is from February 2022 and is in worn condition, but overall, it is very good, as you can see from the photos. It comes with our 12-Months Warranty.

The Watch
Here we have a recrafted 2022 Oris ChronOris Date Automatic on a Rubber strap, inspired by the 1970s ChronOris, their first Chronostop chronograph, very much like the Omega Chronostop and was the beginning of their long and illustrious relationship in motorsport. The 39mm C-shaped brushed and polished stainless steel case comfortably sits on your wrist like a cushion, bevel leading edges flow effortlessly around the case; a lug-to-lug length of 43mm and a case thickness of 12mm give the watch an impressive wrist presence. Down the right side, we have the top crown to adjust the time, date and winding; at 4 o’clock, we have a signed screw-down crown to adjust the silver inner rotating 60-minute bezel with deep knurling for grip. A domed sapphire crystal AR coated on the inside sits above a dynamic sector-style grey and black dial, the inner rotating bezel surrounds a minute track precisely executed, applied baton indexes tipped in orange mark the hours inside a black ring; at 3 o’clock, a framed date window and white baton hands filled with SuperLumiNova are complemented by a tapered orange sweeping second-hand, at 12 o’clock we have the Oris motif, and at 6 o’clock ChronOris 26 jewels complete this vintage-inspired sports watch. On the reverse, there is a screw-down solid case back with the Oris shield in the centre, inside an automatic Oris Cal. 733, based on the Sellita SW200-1, the balance has a frequency of 28,800 beats per hour, and the movement contains 26 jewels. The watch comes paired with a 19mm Oris vintage style Rubber strap and signed buckle and comes with its Oris presentation box, swing tag and Oris paperwork.
Personal Note
This Oris ChronoOris Date in 39mm is a wonderful reinterpretation of the vintage ChronoOris which was a single pusher, 1-minute chronograph, whereas this modern ChronoOris features an inner rotating bezel, operated via the second crown, giving the same layout and similar aetheric as the original, but brought into the modern world as a dive watch, an interesting take from Oris. I would not hesitate to add this watch to your collection today!
The Brand
Oris was founded by Paul Cattin and George Christian in the Swiss town of Hölstein. They bought a factory and signed a contract with the mayor in 1904. Initially making pocket watches in 1925, they started to add bracelets to their pocket watches, which soon transitioned into the wristwatch. By 1929, they had a total of six factories. At the end of the 1960s, Oris became one of the largest watch companies in the world, producing approximately 1.2 million timepieces a year. Dr Rolf Portmann and Ulrich W. Herzog headed a management buyout from Swatch Group in 1982. Unhappy with the way the Group was running things. Oris SA was born as an independent Swiss watch brand. 2002 saw their distinctive Red Rotor become an Oris registered Trademark.
