The Watch
This model is a reintroduction celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the Trident Series continuing on from the highly successful C60 Trident which is Christopher Ward's fastest-selling watch series. This C60 Trident Elite 1000 has been upgraded and still retains its 300 piece Limited Edition status. The 42mm case is made of Grade 2 Titanium renowned for its strength, lightness and corrosion resistance. A beveled uni-directional Titanium bezel has a Ceramic insert in blue with a splash of orange painted onto the bezel indicating the 15 min mark. The radiating numerals are lumed with Super-LumiNova Grade X1 GL C1. AR coated Sapphire crystal protects the polished dark blue dial, multi-faceted edges with brushed and polished finishing to the applied baton indexes create depth. Super-LumiNova Grade X1 GL C1 is applied to the batons. At the 3 o’clock position sits the day-date window white on black giving a satisfying contrast and excellent visibility. The large arrow and baton hands are diamond polished nicely complemented by the Trident sweeping seconds hand. Again an application of Super-LumiNova Grade X1 GL C1 provides outstanding luminescence. An automatic Helium valve sits flush on the side of the case, screw-down crown and case back provide 1000m water resistance, as in the name. The screw-down case back has the embossed Trident rather than the usual exhibition case.
Inside we have an Automatic Sellita SW200-1 which has been modified to achieve COSC certification which is some achievement. 26 Jewels, Beating at 28800 Beats per hour. The blue and orange rubber hybrid strap has a quick-release mechanism for easy strap swaps, complete with a signed buckle.
Personal Note
Such a fantastic looking watch, Christopher Ward has nailed the execution of this piece down to the colours chosen and the lume on the dial and bezel! The strap pairing is also brilliant and super comfortable. Whilst larger at 42mm, the lug to lug is short and allows it to wear well on the wrist. Limited to 300, priced less than the non-limited versions on the website, it's a bargain!
