2022 Scurfa Diver One D1-500 Titanium Light Blue 40mm

Here we have a 2022 Scurfa Diver One D1-500 Titanium Light Blue with a 40mm T2 Titanium case. Brushed surfaces flow over your wrist towards the thick, tapered drilled lugs, and a lug-to-lug length of 48mm and a case thickness of 13.5mm give the watch an impressive wrist presence. On the right side, we have a screw-down signed crown with four gaskets protected by crown guards. On the left side, you find the Helium escape valve, which Paul Scurfa himself tested at different depths and gas mixtures. The deepest decompression was 154 meters to the surface. The 120-click Titanium dive bezel has deep knurling around its edge that can easily be adjusted even with gloves on and a light blue Aluminium insert with a Titanium pearl. A domed sapphire crystal has a blue AR coating on the underside sitting above the striking Light blue dial. Large baton indexes are coated in Grade A Super Luminova BGW9, which glows blue in the dark, marking the hours. At 3 o’clock, a date window. Thick sword hands are coated in the same Grade A Super Luminova BGW9, complemented by a white lollipop second-hand. The contrast of the white against the light blue makes for an easy-to-read tool dial. The testing and care of attention are clearly seen in this watch. Text at 12 o’clock is the Scurfa logo at 6 o’clock, Diver One in white. On the reverse a screw-down case back with a 1mm gasket and the Scurfa logo in the center. Inside a Quartz ETA Cal. F06.412, this three jewel movement is brass and has a longer battery life and EOL “End Of Life” indicator for peace of mind. It comes paired with its original Titanium bracelet secured by a signed deployant clasp, all links provided and will fit up to a 7.1-inch wrist plus an additional three 20mm rubber straps and comes with its Scurfa presentation box and papers.

Paul Scurfield founded Scurfa Watches in 2013. As a watch enthusiast and saturation diver, he saw the explosion in the value of a Rolex, which left collectors and divers with a real-world problem of selling this highly valuable timepiece and reaping the inflated price or being very self-conscious of wearing a high-value timepiece in the workplace or generally out in public. As a saturation diver, he would spend six hours in the water in teams of three up to a total of 28 days, including decompression.
