Personal Note
If you are after a great and affordable dive watch you will be pointed to Seiko, and rightfully so as they are great for the money, but often overlooked are Citizen and Orient. Here we have the amazing Orient Kamasu Mako III with a Red/Brown dial, in-house automatic movement, screw-down crown and an overall great design that wears perfectly on the wrist, all this for well under £200!
The Brand
Orient has been a Japanese watch manufacturer since 1951, when it was reborn by Tama Keiki Company in 1950, which then changed its name to Orient Watch Company Limited in 1951, becoming fully integrated into Seiko in 2017. Its long heritage of in-house movements sits perfectly within the Seiko family. The 3 Star or Tristar stands for Quality, Design, and Price.
