The Watch
Here we have a 2020 Zenith Chronomaster Revival Shadow Titanium with a 37mm microblasted matte Titanium tonneau-shaped angular-sided case that curves over your wrist with flat-ended lugs; its chamfered flanks lead to a lug-to-lug length of 46.5mm and a case thickness of 12.5mm giving the watch an impressive wrist presence. Down the right side, we have the chronograph pushers and a signed crown. A domed sapphire crystal AR coated above a striking monochromatic black dial. An outer Tachymeter chapter ring surrounds applied baton hour markers filled in Super-LumiNova; at 3 o’clock, a 30-minute register in grey with a white hand; at 6 o'clock, a 12-hour in grey with a white hand and finally, at 9 o’clock, a continuous second register in grey with a white hand. Baton's hands are filled with Super-LumiNova and complemented by a white chronograph hand. At 12 o’clock, we have the Zenith El Primero motif completing this dynamic chronograph. On the reverse, a screwed-down exhibition sapphire case back with El Primero and the model number engraved around its edge, inside an automatic Zenith El Primero 4061, 31 jewels, 36,000 beats per hour. The modified bi-directional rotor has engraving, and the Zenith star is made up of 282 components. It comes paired with its original 19mm Zenith strap with a microblasted matte Titanium pin buckle, and the watch comes with its Zenith presentation box, swing tags and paperwork.
Personal Note
This is not one I anticipated would make it to the website and not be snapped up before. You are looking at the incredible Zenith Chronomaster Revival Shadow in 37mm which features a micro blasted matte Titanium case with a matching dial, this truly is a stealthy watch made for the shadows. On the wrist it looks amazing and is surprisingly versatile, often we assume a dark watch like this can be quite difficult to wear, it is shockingly the opposite and looks great with almost anything. Do not hesitate to book an appointment to see this fantastic watch in the titanium for yourself.
The Brand
Zenith was founded in 1865 by 22-year-old watchmaker Georges Favre-Jacot; their manufacturing was based in Le Locle, Switzerland. Famous Norwegian explorer Roald Amundsen, who was the first person to reach the South Pole in 1911 and the North Pole in 1926, wore Zenith watches on his expeditions. In 1999, Zenith was purchased by LVMH (Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton), joining brands like TAG and Hublot. Zenith is one of the only Swiss manufacturers still producing their in-house movements; their most recognised movement is the El Primero, which was released in 1969, went into production in 1975, and was re-issued in 1986.
