Points of Mention

This watch is sold with its original Christopher Ward box and paperwork. The watch comes paired on its original Christopher Ward strap. The watch is from May 2020 and is sold in worn condition, but overall very fair condition as you can see. The watch comes with our 12-Month Warranty.

The Watch

Founded in 2005 by Mike France, Peter Ellis, and Christopher Ward, they started the world's first online-only watch brand. July 2nd, 2014 saw the announcement to a genuinely astonished watch industry their own in-house movement, Calibre SH21, the first commercially viable mechanical movement from a British watch brand in over 50 years.

First released in 2019 this collaboration with the MOD (Ministry of Defence) is inspired by the Omega Seamaster 300 “Big Triangle” 0552 which was a 1967 Navy issue. The 41mm stainless steel case has the DNA of their Trident range. Polished and brushed surfaces transition with crisp edges. Tapered lugs with a lug to lug length of 47mm and a thickness of 11.5mm gives the watch an impressive wrist presence. On the right side is a signed screw-down crown. The unidirectional bezel has a 60-minute aluminium blue insert. A domed glass boxed sapphire crystal sits above the matte-finished deep blue dial, large applied obelisk-shaped indexes coated in TC-1 SuperLumiNova mark the hours. At 12 o’clock a large inverted triangle. An arrow hour hand with a slim baton minute hand is filled with TC-1 Super-LumiNova. Text is printed precisely. On the reverse, a screw-down case back with a deeply stamped Royal Navy's Naval crown insignia and the Royal Naval model number “0552”. Inside an Automatic Sellita, SW200 COSC Certified, 26 jewels, 28,800 beats per hour. The watch comes fitted on its 22mm Christopher Ward Cordura and rubber hybrid strap with a signed buckle and comes with its Christopher Ward presentation box and papers.

Personal Note

Christopher Ward is producing some of the best "Bang for your buck" watches at the moment and no one can really come close, but when they come to pre-owned they become insane value! Take a look at this beautiful watch, it's COSC, built like a tank, reliable and all-round awesome, then look at the price, point me to another brand that can offer this?
