This watch is sold with its original Christopher Ward Box & Paperwork. The watch comes paired with its original Christopher Ward signed rubber strap. The watch is from February 2019 and is in very fair condition as you can see from the photos. The watch comes with our 12-Months Warranty.

The Watch

Here we have a 2019 Christopher Ward C60 GMT MK3 with a 42mm marine-grade stainless steel case, polished bevel-edged and brushed surfaces transition with crisp lines, and the curve of the case sits comfortably on your wrist, a lug-to-lug length of 48.5mm and a case thickness of 14mm give the watch an impressive wrist presence, on the right side, a signed screw-down crown with deep knurling for an extra grip is protected by crown guards. The 120-click unidirectional bezel has a blue ceramic 24-hour scale holding a sapphire crystal AR coated. The deep blue glossy dial has applied baton indexes coated in X1 GL C1 Super-LumiNova marking the hours, at 3 o’clock a framed date window. The hands comprise of a hand-polished and brushed arrow hour hand with a slim baton minute hand filled with X1 GL C1 Super-LumiNova complemented by a Trident counterweighted sweeping second hand, as you rotate your wrist the indexes and glossy dial play with the light. The GMT hand is outlined in orange and infilled with X1 GL C1 Super-LumiNova for increased visibility. At 12 o’clock we have the Christopher motif, and the text on the dial is precisely printed at 6 o’clock and 9 o’clock respectively. On the reverse, a screw-down case back with a high relief Trident in the centre, engraved is a unique serial number and ours is number #001. Inside an Automatic Sellita SW 330-1, 21 jewels, 28,800 beats per hour, to adjust the GMT hand, unscrew the crown, pull out to the first position and rotate clockwise, and rotate the crown anticlockwise to adjust the date. The watch comes fitted on a 22mm rubber strap and also comes with its Christopher Ward presentation box and paperwork.

The Brand

Founded in 2005 by Mike France, Peter Ellis and Christopher Ward they started the world's first online-only watch brand. Launched from a converted chicken shed on a farm in Berkshire. Soon after the launch of the brand Dave Malone was a Tasmanian lecturer and watch expert, when he saw the press ad for a watch powered by an ETA 2824–2 automatic movement, he decided to buy one. He planned to write a critical review on the world’s largest watch forum, Timezone.com. Fortunately for Christopher Ward, his review was most complimentary, stating the watch was the “best value mechanical watch in the world” and sales immediately spiked and Christopher Ward became firmly established. After receiving such high praise in the industry and from collectors in 2008 they began work with assistance from a Swiss watchmaking company: Synergies Horlogères. Based in Biel, Switzerland. SH was owned and led by Jörg Bader who had the same vision Christopher Ward had on designing a new movement. After many years of design and development, July 2nd 2014 saw the announcement to an astounding watch industry of their in-house movement, Calibre SH21, the first commercially viable mechanical movement from a British watch brand in over 50 years.
