The Watch

Here we have a beautifully sculpted 1979 Piaget Classique Limelight Yellow Gold Onyx Diamonds 40825. The 20mm 18ct Yellow Gold Tank-shaped case sits comfortably on your wrist thanks to a lug-to-lug length of 25mm and a case thickness of just 4.5mm, its ultrathin profile is perfect in form and function. A push/pull crown with a coin edge is on the right side. The attractive bezel contains a carpet of diamonds and holds a chamfered-edges flat sapphire crystal above a stunning Onyx-bordered diamond dial in a paved pattern that reflects the light in a beautiful, mesmerising way. Two elegant dauphine hands sit centrally, creating a superbly balanced, flamboyant timepiece. Piaget motif sits at 12 o’clock. On the reverse, a screwed-down 18ct yellow gold case back, inside a manually wound Piaget Cal. 4P, 19 jewels, beating at 21,600 beats per hour, one of the world's thinnest mechanical movements. The watch comes fitted on a suitable 15mm leather strap with its original Hallmarked Piaget 18ct gold buckle and the original worn Piaget 15mm strap included.
