At first and from afar, I thought the collector had pulled out a Rolex 8171 from his bag like it was any other watch, but then in hand, I realised it was actually something I could obtain and was insanely cool. This J.W Benson Triple Calendar Moonphase is powered by the manually wound Venus 203, not a particularly expensive movement, yet it provides a ton of complications for the money and in 34mm, it looks amazing on and off the wrist.
I went through a phase where almost every watch I personally owned was on a StrapTailor brown suede; it became a bit of a running joke, but I do think this watch needed this strap to bring the subtle dial texture and warm gold-plated case to life. Keep an eye out for Venus 203 watches; they are typically affordable and offer a ton of value in the vintage watch world!
