1940s Mido Multifort Datometer Super-Automatic

I have been a keen collector of vintage Mido for many years have found them to be incredibly underrated and underappreciated. They still are today, so snap great ones up when they come up, as soon they will have their resurgence. This Mido Datometer isn't the best example in the world, but it's an honest one and great to wear!

Description

1940s and 1950s Mido had some of my favourite case designs with a smaller, compact design that packs an absolute punch on the wrist, thanks to beautifully sculpted lugs and typically a larger 'Brevet' crown. Mido Datometers are incredibly rare in the market today, and when good ones do come up, people ask a lot for them and rightfully so. This dial has seen a life of use but still retains all of its vintage charm, and I love the fact that you can faintly see the 'roulette' pointer date track showing subtle signs of even numbers being a different shade to the odds if you look closely. I have had this watch for 3+ years and haven't worn it anywhere enough in that time, but after writing this, I'm going to make more of an effort to pull this one out of the safe and give it the wrist time it deserves.
