Pinion Axis Steel Dawn
Pinion is a very exciting British brand with their "Ambition in making fine watches is to succeed not in doing more, but doing better" as the found Piers Berry said! Who is also a great guy!
The dial on this watch is what gets me every time, it is on you can continue to look at and find new details each time. At first you think it is just a flat blue dial but then you realise it actually is so much more than that, the way the light plays with the polish of the hands and the numerals. It is a very well built watch that will treat someone very well.

The Tissot visodate is most known for their modern dress watch, but the Visodate harps back to the 1950s and refereed to a line of watches with a "Visible Date". This model has a beautiful cushion case which is becoming very popular at the movement, it has nicely angled lugs which slope around the wrist perfectly and provide a very comfortable wearing experience.
Points of Mention
This is a vintage watch from the 1970s and therefore does have signs of wear. The dial has developed patina which is very visible around the edge of the dial. The watch is running though has no service history. The strap is aging and we would recommend a replacement.
The case shape of this watch is what got me excited, the dial with it's patina and being all original, it's a very affordable gem.
Here we have a classic 34mm oyster case Tudor from 1969 with a jet black dial! Beautiful full Tudor rose can be found at 12o'clock with the words "Tudor / Oyster" underneath, Rolex crown and caseback with an engraving that states 1968. We have it paired on a thick suede strap with a Rolex Clasp. When you look at the ever increasing prices of the Rolex counterpart you will see that these are incredible value propositions and I think will continue to rise in price!
When you take a look at this watch and then realise it is from 1977 you just cannot believe it! Sure there are some signs of wear, the gold plating is scratches and there a few marks here and there... But the way this watch has survived in it's condition and the overall design is truly brilliant! The pattern on the dial that consists of beautiful directional lines, the shape of the case and once on wrist it's a great experience!
There isn't anything more I can say that hasn't already been said about the SKX! I am happy to bring you one of the classics, the SKX007J, J meaning it is the Japanese Domestic Market edition rather than the Malaysian. The watch is a full set and comes on the great rubber strap and is in good condition! The SKX has become one of those watches that if anyone ever asks "I have a few hundred pounds to spend on watches, what should I get?", almost always a SKX will be in that reply! It's a great watch for those starting out, those a few watches into their journey or even that guy with it all!
An automatic chronograph for a respected Swiss brand with great design and heritage throwback, all for under £1000? That is exactly what this Hamilton offers, incredible value for money! You have a very attractive silver dial with black ring sub dials, 2 register chronograph for a very clean layout, date placed at 6o'clock which, for once, does not look out of place! Whilst being a very large 46mm case size, it features a short 49mm lug to lug which allows it to sit on the wrist very well and not feel big at all once on, it wears similar to a Seiko Turtle.
I think if you are in the market for a modern mechanical chronograph for a good price then this definitely is the watch for you! Design wise it is brilliant and will look just as good in the next 10 years as it does today!
Points of Mention
This watch is sold a used watch and therefore some signs of wear may be seen. The watch comes with it's complete box & paperwork, it also comes with it's original leather strap along with the one it is photographed on. Overall in very good condition and the watch is working well.
I remember when this watch was released and seeing it in the window of retailers, the blue is the one that always caught my eye! Though after having this one on the wrist and enjoying it for a little while I can say this one is far more versatile and enjoyable on the wrist! So much value for your money in this.
I was so excited when I picked up this incredible example of a 16030 with the engine turned bezel, the dial is beautiful condition for it's age too! Overall the whole watch is perfect, it is an aftermarket Jubilee but other than that I truly think this watch is the full package for sure! Just look at the condition of the case, it has been polished in the past but very well and the lugs are FAR from soft!
With the increase in prices across the board in retail for Rolex I think the trend we are seeing of the prices only increasing on vintage is only going to continue! If you are in the market for a vintage Rolex then today is definitely the day to pick on up!
Zenith is a brand most famous for their El-Primero movement and the watches that feature that movement, therefore most people overlook their other creations. The Sporto range is definitely one of those, built to be a versatile and sturdy watch to be worn by anyone, it was designed with aesthetics in mind and a great movement. This lovely example features a nicely placed date and what was once a blue dial that has now turned a very faded blue verging on slight purple.
This watch really stands out in a group of vintage watches, that dial catches the eye perfectly and really suits with whatever you decide to wear. I think this is the perfect, affordable, vintage watch for under £500.
Points of Mention
This is a vintage watch from 1980s and does have signs of age, the dial has patina'd from a vivid blue to a very light/faded blue that is almost a purple. The watch still has it's original signed crown too and is working, though service history is unknown.
When I first saw this watch I could not get over that dial, I actually first thought it must be a redial, but after investigation and asking various other watch dealers and experts we have agreed that this dial is original, it would have been a vivid blue and has turned to a near purple/faded blue which is just beautiful. I have said it a million times and will say it a million more times, Zenith offer some of the very best designed and best bang-per-buck in vintage right now.
The Tissot Visodate range is commonly known for their dressy look in the modern line, but the Visodate harps all the way back to the 1950s and meant visible date. The Visodate range is available in dressy watches all the way to diver style watches like this. This watch features a lovely blue dial with a blue friction bezel, striking original hands and a pop of colour on the second hand. The watch still has it's original, and now very puffy, lume plots. Original Tissot crown is still on the watch too, this is as original as they come.
Points of Mention
This is a vintage watch from the 1970s and the watch has patina all over, the bezel has aged and faded into a lovely light blue. The dial has also patina'd to a beautiful tone of blue. The watch is currently running and has an unknown service history.
I have a soft spot for vintage diver style watches, especially ones with a pop of colour which this definitely provides. Tissot is a brand that still has a lot of room to grow in the vintage community and still has a lot of models I believe will increase in popularity, whilst they are still great prices I will be adding one to my collection in the near future.
What a special watch we have here! This Longines Admiral 5 Star features a very impressive Monocoque case, this means the watch case is made from 1 piece and opens through the front. If you pair a white dial with a yellow gold tone case I immediately get excited, no different here! The case shape of this watch is also incredible and hugs the wrist perfectly, the presence is also very special as it wears larger than its dimensions, thus making it perfect for someone wanting a smaller watch but not to look small on their wrist!
Points of Mention
The dial is in very good and clean condition with no markings or signs of aging. The case bears some marks and scuffs, slight fading and discolouration as photographed. Longines signed crown at 3o'clock. The watch comes paired on a worn black leather strap. The crystal is in good condition and the watch is running well.
I think Longines offer some incredible vintage watches and all still at very fair prices. For me this is the perfect watch to have a lot of fun with strap changing, I would really go wild with this watch and get some crazy colours! Red, Blue, Green... The white dial, yellow gold tone case and the case shape make it the perfect watch to do it!
