Faithfully Restored Tuxedo DOXA Incabloc
Most watch collectors turn their head immediately when the word "Restored" is mentioned, however if done faithfully and for the right reasons I am all for it! If a watch has had severe watch damage and is no longer adequate to be a watch, then why waste something away that can never be used again? That was more than likely the case here and whomever restored it did an incredible job! The watch looks beautiful and is a treat to wear. The tuxedo style dial with the large bold numerals, striking red second hand and luminous hands, it's a design that has looked great in the past, continues to look good today and will continue to look great for many years to come!
Points of Mention
This watch is sold as watch only and therefore comes with no box or paperwork. The dial is faithfully restored, therefore it is not the original dial as it once was. The watch comes with no known service history, but the watch is running well.
I am not opposed to this watch at all and I think it looks absolutely incredible! I know it won't be for everyone and some people cannot look past restoration, but for those that can they are in for a treat with this watch!

Where to begin with this awesome watch! First place for me is the movement, now Pinion have gone above and beyond for this Chronograph, they could have gone and put any old generic chronograph movement that is readily available on the market in their 1969, but they didn't! They went and sourced New Old Stock Valjoux 7734 movements to put in this epic watch, they also smoked out the glass which just adds a cool effect when looking at the movement!
Next has to be that dial, again Pinion really hit it out of the park again! You have this deep and rich black dial with highlights of blue, that subtle but quickly noticeable detail really bring this watch to life on and off the wrist. Limited to only 100 and this being a very early number 9! Get it quick.
What we have here is an incredible Rolex Explorer, reference 114270, from 2004! It comes with an Original Rolex box and guarantee from the Jewellers it was sold from this year, original paperwork isn't included. The 114270 is considered by some as the best modern Explorer Rolex have made, I would agree with those people! It has the perfect case size of 36mm and it also has solid end links with the old Rolex clasp.
If you are looking for a great Rolex which has the iconic design but paired with modern build quality and a great price I can very easily say look no further! All this watch for the asking price we have here is incredible and will serve someone very well for the rest of their life and their next generation!
NOTE OF MENTION - The watch comes with a sapphire crystal that has a small chip at 6 o'clock as photographed! This can be replaced upon request with another sapphire crystal.
Hamilton offer incredible value for so much watch, there really isn't many brands that can give them a run for their money in the Swiss market. So to think that at Retail they offer great value, imagine how great that value becomes when the watch hits the secondary market! An automatic day/date watch on a bracelet for the asking price we have is bonkers! Plus not the mention the great and iconic military dial styling which is very legible in all light condition, plus... It just looks epic! It is build very well too, which we come to expect from the Swatch brand and they certainly don't disappoint! I don't suspect this will stick around long so be sure to click that buy button before it goes and you regret it!
Points of Mention
The watch is sold as watch only and comes with no box, paperwork or spare links. It will currently fit up to a 6 1/2 inch wrist, so please keep this in mind before buying. The overall condition is good, hairline scratches to the case, bracelet and clasp. The watch is in running condition though there is no service history.
I love Hamilton and I will be adding one to the personal collection very soon! I have owned and sold many over the years and I think along with Tissot they offer some of the best value for money watches in the Swiss market today! This won't last long! If it does I may have to keep it for me!
This watch is 58 years old... And yet still looks so perfectly suited on the wrist as I'm sure it did 58 years ago. The Omega Seamaster is easily one of the most iconic and instantly recognisable watches alongside the Speedmaster and yet can still be head for a great price. This 1961 Seamaster is a desirable reference 14389 featuring applied roman numerals and subsidiary second hand, beautiful even patina throughout the dial adding to the charm. Seamaster caseback with Omega signed crown and featured on a leather NATO with an Omega signed buckle, what more could you possibly want?
As we all know Omega released a special edition Omega Seamaster 1948 based on the original Seamaster from 1948, this this isn't that reference it's pretty close. I think we will see the prices of vintage Seamasters continue to grow past what they already have in a short amount of time!
Points of Mention
The watch was serviced in 2017 and is in good working order. The dial does have patina as you can see, please view the images and make your own decision on that, we personally love it. The watch is paired on a leather NATO with an Omega signed buckle. Omega Seamaster caseback and Omega signed crown. Overall great condition with some signs of wear to the case, which is to be expected for a 58 year old watch!
This is my favourite reference of vintage Omega Seamaster as it combines all the things we love about the model but is still one of the most affordable versions! The patina on the dial is beautiful, the case is nice. Plus this is a definite strap monster! If I had the cash, this wouldn't even be displayed on the store right now!
The Rado Captain Cook in 37mm is a great value proposition, not only because it is limited to 1962 but because the watch is built so well, incredibly designed and wears amazingly on the wrist! I think this is easily one of the best watches to come from Rado in a long time. If you want that vintage look and aesthetic but with the reassurance of a new watch, this is the one for you!
Does it get anymore quintessential Bell & Ross than this BRS-92? Featuring a lovely silver dial that compliments the steel case, bold screws on each corner which really strengthen the aviation display influence that pushes Bell & Ross to these great designs. Coming in at 39mm it also wears perfectly on the wrist, demanding it's presence whilst not being over the top. Also paired on a rubber strap currently makes it incredibly versatile, however it does come with 2 other great Bell & Ross straps which really will give the wearer many options!
If you're bored of the traditional watches and want something different in the collection, something fun whilst also being a serious watch, this ticks those boxes. Plus... It's a bargain!
Points of Mention
This watch comes as a complete set with it's box and paperwork, it also comes with 2 extra Bell & Ross straps that pair beautifully with this model. The watch is sold as used, however it is in very good condition and was well looked after by it's previous owner. The watch is fully working and runs well!
I will be very honest! I never really liked these square Bell & Ross watches too much, I actually gravitated to their round watches and have sold a few in the past too! Though, giving this some time of the wrist it has COMPLETELY changed my mind. The way the 39mm case wears is perfect and the look of the watch is just brilliant, especially for someone who favours less traditionally styled watches, I do think you will see a Bell & Ross in my collection in the future!
Vintage, oversized, 18k rose gold, manually wound chronograph, even patina, what more is there to want? I believe these Brands that are no longer with us offer some of the best value in the market, whether it be for a classic dress watch or something more like this beautiful Chronograph. The 38mm 18k Rose Gold case is a lovely warm rose gold tone instead of the deep copper colour we see today in modern watches, vintage rose gold is always a warmer tone. It contrasts perfectly to the dial which has developed beautiful and even patina over time, the blue telemeter scale and red tachymeter scale on the dial are still in great visible condition.
The watch is powered by a serviced Landeron 149 and has a great actuation when initiating, stopping and resetting the chronograph. The watch is paired on a nice Geckota brown leather strap which compliments the warm tone of the 18k Rose Gold and makes it an absolute treat to wear.
Points of Mention
The watch does have patina on the dial. The case was professional polished and is in good condition, the crown was replaced with a tone correct 18k rose gold crown when serviced, the watch was serviced in 2018 and running great.
When people talk value in the industry it's always a tough one as value means different things to different people. When I see a 18k gold vintage chronograph for under £1000 I see incredible value! If this watch was to have a more recognised brand on the dial it would be anywhere from 3x or 10x depending on the brand, that is value. Plus I like the idea that you will probably NEVER see another on someone's wrist.
If you say vintage and IWC I will immediately get excited! For the price I think they offer some of the very best designs on the market, easily! This has the Caliber 8531 which was used in the Ingenieur 666, so no slack of a movement that's for sure! All this is a housed in a 14K Gold case, there are no hallmarkings however due to the market it was sold in originally. The completely original and untouched dial is developing some age and in my opinion adds so much charm and character!
The heft of this case is incredible and the thick lugs and case are in great condition, the original fish crown is intact. Nice clean stainless steel back and date at 3o'clock. The watch comes on a new black leather strap and will have in the package the original IWC buckle! I seriously believe in the value proposition of a beautiful gold watch like this, get it whilst they're still relatively affordable for a gold IWC!
This very well designed Certina has it's core rooted in their history. In 1960 Certina equipped some of their watches for the first time with the DS Concept, that watch accompanied the climbers of the first successful decent of Dhaulagiri in the Himalayas. That is actually the mountain you see on the caseback of this watch, another nice touch! One the dial you have a two-tone white and rose gold dial, bold rose gold sword hands with contrast against the two tones of the dial perfectly making for easily legible reading.
This is all being powered by the infamous Powermatic 80 which is an automatic movement boasting an impressive 80 hour power reserve! When you consider how incredible this full package is and then you see the price, it really is a no-brainer!
Points of Mention
This watch was purchased in May 2017 and was part of a large collection in which it was rotated regularly, the watch does bare some minor signs of wear but nothing major at all. Overall I would say good condition. The watch comes with it's full box, paper and receipt, even the handtags are included.
This watch celebrates part of Certina's history and they celebrated it in good taste, they didn't plaster the front with images or words referring to the feat... They put a very nicely decorated photo of the mountain on the caseback, well played Certina!
In 2015 Sinn released this incredible Sinn 103 in blue with an incredible exhibition caseback, with only 500 produced it sold out quickly and has been desirable by collectors since! I am grateful to be able to bring you one in very good condition with it's full set, I do not doubt this will go quick, especially considering we are pricing very fair for what you are getting! I wouldn't hang about on this one. If you are into nice Chronograph and like Sinn it would be a sin to not get this, ha see what I did there?! Okay... I'll see myself out.
