1982 Rolex Datejust 16030
I was so excited when I picked up this incredible example of a 16030 with the engine turned bezel, the dial is beautiful condition for it's age too! Overall the whole watch is perfect, it is an aftermarket Jubilee but other than that I truly think this watch is the full package for sure! Just look at the condition of the case, it has been polished in the past but very well and the lugs are FAR from soft!
With the increase in prices across the board in retail for Rolex I think the trend we are seeing of the prices only increasing on vintage is only going to continue! If you are in the market for a vintage Rolex then today is definitely the day to pick on up!

When I was in talks with a collector to get this beauty in for sale on the site I was so excited, but to now have it in hand I can say it is very difficult to let it go through the store without taking it myself! But here it is, it made it to the store so please take it off my hands quick!
The dial layout, colour choices and overall condition of this watch is incredible! I seriously love how it wears on the wrist, it is definitely not a small watch but wears well due to having a wider case size compared to the lug to lug length! I think if you're looking for a basic chronograph but vintage, look no further and pick this up!
Chronographe Suisse are known for their vintage Chronographs, commonly using a manual wound Landeron movement, very reliable and have great action when initiating and stopping the chronograph. The design of this one is beautiful, big bold numerals with a gold plate to fill them in which catch the light perfectly along with the thing long hands, concentric circles for the chronograph subdials. The dial definitely has some patina but it adds to the charm in my opinion, I've taken honest and close photos for you to make your own decision on the patina.
The case is chrome with a stainless steel caseback, but the case is in incredible condition! No signs of the case wearing and ageing at all. There are signs of wear but again nothing serious, plus the watch is in running condition! The value this watch packs is insane, especially when you think you are getting a nicely sized two register chronograph that is vintage and working well. Pick it up before it's too late!
There is something special about a 34mm oyster case on wrist, especially on a bracelet, it has the wrist presence of a larger watch but yet wears incredibly on the smaller wristed without looking silly on the larger wrists. This Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date features a beautiful champagne dial with gold hands and indices, intact lume plots around the outer edge of the dial on the minute track. A very well kept engine-turned bezel on an, also very well maintained, 34mm oyster case. The watch also comes paired on it's original Rolex oyster bracelet and clasp.
This reference offers the Rolex Cal. 3135 which allows for easy quick-set date, making it a very attractive option for the person with a collection that they rotate often, pick it up, change the date and off you go.
Points of Mention
The watch is in great overall condition for age. We have no service history for the watch but all functions work smoothly, winding is smooth and date change is sharp, the watch is also running well. The watch comes with enough links to fit a 7inch wrist on full length of clasp.
It is no secret that I love smaller watches, having a smaller wrist it was just a given. This reference provides the small size on wrist but larger wrist presence with the oyster case, it's perfect. Plus coming on it's bracelet with a clean champagne dial too, modern quick set movement, it really is a great Rolex option for the person either looking for their first Rolex or a collector looking for a fun reference to add.
Such an interesting watch from an interesting British brand that was established 2014 by Matthew Humphries. At the age of 21 Matthew became the Head of Design for Morgan Motor Company, what an incredible achievement and then to move from that to watches! The design of this watch is perfect, a lovely panda dial with an interesting shaped case. Overall design is amazing, build quality is great and value is perfect! Pick one up...
This is one unique and lovely 9ct Gold watch from Longines, with a beautifully clean dial showing only minutes and seconds paired with a manual wound movement. Attached is a fixed 9ct Gold bracelet which flows beautifully, it is of a size for a 7inch wrist plus, unfortunately I don't believe the strap can be changed and I am unsure on adjusting, it would be a soldering job no doubt.
This watch would make a perfect dress watch with it's clean aesthetic, also for the price and getting a 9ct Gold watch... I would truly say you cannot go wrong! Quality piece, quality design and all at a quality price.
Well for me there isn't much more to say about this beautiful watch! I have personally owned a Black Bay 36 for over a year now and it is amazing to get one in for sale to allow one of you to enjoy this incredible watch at such a great price! Full set with everything, great overall condition! Just do yourself a favour and get yourself this watch if you like the look of it, for this price I can guarantee you will not be disappointing!
When I first got my hands on this watch it needed a new Crystal and a service so I had no clue just how beautiful that dial was, you can now understand my surprise once the watch returned to me and that dial was visible! The way it has aged over time has allowed the dial to develop small white dots which makes the entire dial look like the night sky, it's truly unique and beautiful! Match that with the interesting case shape, it wears incredibly well on the wrist.
The watch is being sold on a stretch bracelet though I can imagine how great a beautiful blue leather strap would look! Don't hold back on this automatic 25 Jewel day/date watch from a very well respected brand like Oris, also have confidence that it is working well as it was very recently serviced!
I have handled and Sold a few Glycine and this has my favourite dial yet! Love the white/eggshell colour contrasting against the black of the hands and indices! Even the date being blacked out is a really cool touch. Now sure it is a big watch but it's comfortable on the wrist, some watches of these dimensions just feel terrible on the wrist, I can safely say this isn't one of those!
What we have here in a great and affordable Omega which will look great on both him or her! The bracelet flows from the case effortlessly making the wearing experience very comfortable, also the way the links are put together is very ingenious and makes for a great looking bracelet. It being Quartz allows me to offer this watch to you at an even better price, so treat yourself to this great watch today.
The fact that this watch still has its original box is already quite amazing, then we can go and take it a step further with the original guarantee which has the date signed 25th November 1946! Also included is the original hand written invoice stating it was sold to a Corporal Mathir from the RAF.
In 1946 the RAF was heavily involved in the Netherlands East Indies and actually pulled out on November the 28th 1946. Obviously I cannot say for certain. But in 1946 this sold to Corporal Mathir for £13, that equates to over £500 today! I cannot help but think maybe the Corporal was based in the Netherlands East Indies and got word a few days prior that he would be leaving to head home to his family and as a celebratory purchase for himself he got this watch.
Maybe it’s the dreamer in me but I would love it if that would be true! If only these watches could tell their story…
Let’s take a quick look at West End Watch Co. as a company itself.
The company was originally founded in 1864 but it wasn’t until 1885 that the name West End Watch was registered as a trademark by them. They have a lot of great history ranging from huge distribution in India to connections with Longines. The West End Watch base in Switzerland was in St-Imier and was only down the road from Longines, from as early as the 1910s Longines was providing West End Watch Co with watches with West End Watch branding and their logo to sell, they were the only company in the world to have this right and it contributed massively to their reputation. This continued until 1955 when Longines reconsidered this arrangement and then provided them with watch branded Longines only.
