1935-38 Omega Medicus 23.4

£850.00

The Watch

The Omega "Medicus" was the brands first wristwatch to feature a central seconds hand, this made the watch easier to read and bigger. The watch quickly became known as the "Nurses' watch" due to how beneficial the central seconds was for medical staff during the second world war. The Medicus became an import watch for Omega and for its history and now is highly collectible! The references dates from 1935-38 and was faithfully restored by SwissTec to an incredible standard of both the dial and the case, looks absolutely incredible both on and off the wrist!

The dial has been finished to a very high standard and the hands match perfectly, giving the edge the watch would have originally had. The case sits nicely on the wrist at 33mm, perfect for the person not afraid of smaller watches. Housed inside is the ever reliable Cal. 23.4 which is a true work horse of a movement by Omega!

Points of Mention

This watch is sold as watch only and comes with no box or paperwork. This watch comes on an original Omega strap with buckle. The watch was professionally and faithfully restored by SwissTec and comes with a purchase receipt from Austin Kaye from 2016. The watch was serviced in 2016 and is running well.

Personal Note

A great vintage watch of high quality, prestigious brand and true history does not have to cost thousands! This watch proves that perfectly and this is why my love for Omega is so strong! Even in my personal collection I have an Omega from 1944, I suspect it will never leave... I suspect this won't leave your collection when it gets there!

1957 Omega Ref. 9772 Denison

£550.00

The Watch

"Presented to A.W. FLack By W.J. Bush & Co Ltd. in appreciation of 40 years loyal service 1957" That is the lovely and well done engraving on the back of the watch, from a little bit of digging W.J. Bush & Co Ltd was a business founded by William John Bush in 1850/51 when he acquired a factory that steam distilled multiple items from herbs, spices, essential oils etc... A.W. Flack remains unknown, but what we do know is in 1957 it was his 40th year with the company! They must have been good!

The great thing about watches is the stories they hide within themselves that we never truly uncover unless the story is passed along with the watch, which is all part of the fascination. Thankfully this story is locked away in a beautiful Omega dating from 1957, applied Arabic numerals which catch the light beautifully and a nice oversized sub dial, long and sharp hands that also catch the light! Even at 33mm it wears incredibly well and looks amazing!

Points of Mention

This watch is sold as watch only and comes with no box or paperwork. The watch is all original with patina visible on the dial, the watch has no service history and one would be recommended if this watch was to be worn regularly. The watch runs well currently.

Personal Note

This is what makes watches great! Gems like this come around every so often and you wish you could keep them all! Unfortunately I cannot keep them all, so I get to offer them to you!

Jaeger LeCoultre Faithfully...

£750.00

The Watch

Originality is key, until the original dial gets so damaged it's no longer "patina", it is damage. That is what I suspect happened in the case of this watch, it was beyond looking good and was bordering on looking terrible! So the watch was faithfully restored and they have done an amazing job, sometimes, if done correct, restoration is the best thing for a watch! Done true to form with luminous hands and numerals the watch really pops and the contrast on the dial is beautiful. If you are looking for a vintage JLC without the hefty price tag then look no further!

Points of Mention

The watch is sold as watch only and comes with no box or paperwork, the strap is not a JLC strap! The watch has been fully restored, the case, dial, hands etc... It has been faithfully done meaning it has been done as true to original as possible. The case is chrome plated and shows some sign of wear. The watch has no service history and the date of restoration is unknown, the watch runs well.

Personal Note

I am not opposed to restoration as long as it is done well and faithfully and for the right reasons! If a watch was water damaged beyond saving, restore it. If it has aged so much that the dial is almost falling apart, restore it! I would rather see a restored vintage watch than no vintage watch at all!

Chopard Mille Miglia 8141

£500.00

The Watch

In 1988 Chopard partnered with the prestigious Mille Miglia and the Chopard Mille Miglia was born! I am honoured to be offering THE original Chopard Mille Miglia that started it all from 1988. This beautiful watch features a crisp white dial with subtle highlights of red that flows to the bezel where it states "1000 MIGLIA" at 12o'clock. This watch houses a Quartz ETA 255.241 which has a monopusher chronograph, no running seconds on the dial but with a push of that button you can time up to 30 minutes, fitting for timing speed with the inner tachymetric scale.

It is incredible to see how much the Mille Miglia range by Chopard has changed over the years, this beautiful sized watch sits so well on the wrist and really pops. Plus what a conversation starter a watch like this would be, the name Chopard is known around the world and the Mille Miglia is known by most car fans, the merging of two popular worlds and this was the first for the partnership!

Points of Mention

This watch is sold as watch only and therefore comes with no box or paperwork, the watch is pre-owned but in fantastic condition and has been well looked after over the years. The watch did receive a full overhaul in March 2019, paperwork for that can be provided. The watch is running flawlessly and looks a million pounds on the brown leather strap.

Personal Note

I really love this watch and the Chopard Mille Miglia is a range I would love to add to the personal collection at some point, the importance of this watch within that range is unquestionable. What a brilliant and great looking piece, and for a great price!

1944 9ct Gold Invicta Art-Deco

£350.00

The Watch

When you think Invita you probably think either modern homages to Rolex or you think insane 50mm rainbow finished watches... It's unlikely that a 9ct gold 1944 art-deco piece would come to mind, well the brand used to do exactly that! This incredibly early Invita features a 9ct gold BWC case with it's original onion crown, beautiful and original art-deco sector dial with its original blued leaf hands! This truly is a gem of a watch, one that will stand out in a crown and be a great talking point with other watch enthusiest! And goodluck finding another, so once this is gone, it's definitely GONE!

Points of Mention

This watch is sold as watch only and therefore comes with no box or paperwork, the watch is vintage from 1944 so is showing signs of age. The watch has recieved a light polish and new crystal for the purpose of selling, the dial is completely original, as is the hands and movement! The watch has no service history but is running well.

Personal Note

I purchased this with all intentions of keeping it! However if I did that I would end up with nothing on the website, so count yourselves lucky! I would recommend you buy this before I change my mind... And it's changing quick! Hurry up! Press that button!

Gucci 3200M

£125.00

The Watch

Whilst Gucci probably isn't a brand most of us think of when we think luxury watch, even I have to admit this one offers a lot of charm and even competes with the traditional dress watch for something a bit different and out there. The all black contrast again the gold tone is very attractive, especially when the clean black dial is considered with the gold on the inside too. A very well designed watch, something Gucci definitely do know is design.

Points of Mention

The watch is in overall very good condition for it's age, no major marks. Few hairline scratches to the gold tone bezel, the strap is the original it was sold on, it still comes on the original buckle too. The battery will be replaced at point of sale.

Personal Note

Never been a huge fan of Gucci. But that being said this watch is very nice and actually very enjoyable on the wrist! Whilst, granted, it won't be everyone's cup-of-tea, it'll certainly be someones out there!
