If you mention the numbers 321 in the same sentence as Omega collectors get pretty excited! And for good reason too. The Cal. 321 is a column wheel movement based on a Lemania ebauche, which was used by the mighty Patek Philippe & Vacheron Constantin to name a few! Most famously the 321 was used in the early Speedmasters and the ones originally worn on the moon! The Seamaster chronographs with a Cal. 321 are exactly rarer than Speedmasters with a 321, they made less!
This reference 105.001 is a beauty of a watch and one that any Omega collector will appreciate immediately, coming in at 36mm it wears perfectly on the wrist and looks incredible! This reference also features the iconic and more appreciated pump pushers, screw down case back which still states "Seamaster" & "Waterproof" indicating the watch hasn't been over polished as these are the first things to go! The watch also has a completely original and unmolested dial which is becoming rarer too, especially with this condition! Overall you are getting a real gem here and I suspect this will not last long!
Points of Mention
This watch is sold as watch only and comes with no box or paperwork. The watch is original and shows signs of age. There is no service history with the watch, though it is running well, service would be recommended if worn daily.
Would it be bad of me to say I would rather this than a Speedmaster with a 321? This watch just ticks all the right boxes and is very me when it comes to collecting, I do not doubt there will be a fair few of you out there who feel the same! Don't miss out on this one, this WILL be one you will regret passing on for sure!
