Points of Mention

This watch is sold with its original Zenith Box and original Zenith Paperwork. The watch comes paired on its original Zenith leather strap with signed buckle. The watch is in worn condition but is overall very good, see the photos. The watch is running well as you would expect.

The Watch

Launched in 2016 this model refers to the famous, well sort after, Zenith Cairelli chronographs from the 1960s.  Originally produced for the Italian Air force Pilots and fitted with a hand-wound DP 146 made by Martel Watch Co. Founded in 1911 and bought by Zenith in 1959.  This 2016 version has a 43mm polished stainless steel case with sloping lugs. The signed crown has you’ll notice no crown guards between the pushers making for a very slim profile. The bezel has a 60-minute scale with a 12 o’clock triangle that is lumed. A flat sapphire crystal protects the matt black dial. Applied white Arabic hour markers surround the 60 seconds and 30-minute registers. Cathedral hands compliment the dial perfectly. Inside the Automatic Zenith El-Primero Cal.4069 35 Jewels 36000 beats per hour. The characteristic oscillating balance weight is finished in Cotes de Geneve.   Fitted on a 22mm leather strap with signed buckle.

Personal Note

Zenith is massively underrated in my opinion and this is a great example of that! This model has some impressive history, beautifully designed and perfectly executed! Even the small things like not including a date, makes a world of a difference to the design and most brands miss these small details that make the overall package perfect, not Zenith!
