Points of Mention
This watch is sold as a full set and therefore comes with its original Ulysse Nardin box and Ulysse Nardin paperwork, the watch was purchased in 2019 and is a great condition having been worn a few times and still even featuring its case back sticker. The watch also comes with a spare rubber strap.
The Watch
At the 2018 Monaco Yacht Show, Ulysse Nardin introduced 4 new models to their Diver Line. This Limited to 50 Camo version is striking in appearance. The Sword hands and indices are coated in Super Luminova. The sub-dials include a Power reserve and 60 sec at the 12 and 6 o’clock positions respectively. A 43mm Stainless steel case which wears surprisingly well. The unidirectional bezel has the 15 min pips between 12 and 3 followed by numerals 20, 30, 40 and 50 detailed with the Ulysse Nardin wave pattern. Inside we have the UN-26, an ETA 2892A2 which Ulysse Nardin has “personalized,” firstly by decorating it to the level that matches the high standards of Ulysse Nardin, adding swirled Côtes de Genève striping, circular graining, and the custom UN rotor. 2892 has been further modified to allow the addition of the module that has the sub-dial for power reserve and repositioning of the centre seconds hand to the 6’oclock subdial. A screw-down case back celebrates the long history Ulysse Nardin has with the sea. In keeping with the Dive theme, it has 300m water resistance.
Personal Note
Another one that certainly will not be to everyone’s taste! But I love it and think it offers something so different and unique from an incredible brand in one of their icons. Plus being limited to only 50, you probably won’t see another one around!
