Points of Mention

This watch is sold as "Watch Only" and therefore comes with no original Zodiac box or paperwork. The watch comes paired on its original 23mm mesh bracelet with its original Zodiac clasp, the bracelet will fit all wrist sizes due to the sliding clasp. The watch is from Circa. 1970s and is sold in worn, vintage condition, but overall this is in fantastic condition as you can see. The watch comes with our 12-Months NON-Waterproof Warranty.

The Watch

Zodiac was founded in 1882 by Ariste Calame. Their headquarters can be found in Locle Switzerland. The name Zodiac was patented in 1908 when he started to manufacture wristwatches. In 1953 we saw the introduction of the Sea Wolf, one of the first commercial purpose-built dive watches. On October 1, 2001, Fossil Inc. purchased the worldwide rights to the Zodiac brand name for approximately $4.7 million.

This rare  1970s Zodiac has a 40mm cushion stainless steel polished case. A lug to lug length of 40mm and a 10mm thickness ensures a comfortable fit on your wrist. On the right side, a recessed crown. A flat crystal protects the silver dial. Applied slim baton indexes mark the hours. Between the 4 and 5 a date window. Elegant baton hands complete this minimalist dial. On the reverse a snap off case back with a thick tab to attach a case opener. Inside an automatic ETA Cal. 2671, 25 jewels, 28,800 beats per hour. The watch comes fitted on its original Zodiac 23mm Shark mesh-style bracelet with a signed folding clasp. You will notice that the spring bars are curved.

Personal Note

Easily up there with one of the all-time favourite watches I've had in the shop, it is far from the most expensive but honestly one of the coolest! Someone else clearly agreed with me as it flew away before even landing on the website.
