This watch is sold with its Original Pinion Box & Pinion Paperwork. The watch comes paired on its original Pinion signed leather strap with Pinion signed buckle. The watch also comes with 2 spare Pinion straps that are virtually unworn. The watch is in worn condition with a few signs of wear, a few hairline scratches here and there. The watch was originally purchased in September 2017 and therefore is out of its original manufacture warranty, it is running well and it will come with a KibbleWatches 12-Month Warranty. 

The Watch

Founded in 2013 by Piers Berry based in South Oxfordshire, where he has British Horology Institute members in his assembly and service centre. They are part of the resurgence in British watchMakers. Pinions ethos is “grounded in building small quantities of unique and individual timepieces for discerning gentlemen''. The 1969 Revival has a 43mm stainless steel case, elegantly shaped lugs with pushers and crown on the right side. “SuperDome'' double bezel and convex sapphire crystal cover the all-black dial, this dial is custom made as it has no date at 6 o’clock, this is the only one they made and personally I prefer this one, around the outside we have an outer minute track. Applied numerals and indexes are highly polished. Sub-dials for the 60 seconds at 9 o’clock and 30 minutes at 3 o’clock are encircled with a blue band adding interest to the multidimensional dial. Baton’s hands are lumed with the Chronograph seconds hand in the centre. The new old stock Valjoux 7734 can be seen clearly through the smoked sapphire crystal, 17 Jewels beating at a leisurely 18000 beats per hour. It was limited to 100 pieces, this is number 69. Fitted on a black leather strap with a signed buckle.

Personal Note

Such a great looking watch and the fact that this dial is a custom 1 off without the date complication is great and looks way better in my opinion, this is also the only blue dial version of the R-1969 made without the date. Also great is the fact this is number 69 out of 100 for the 1969 model! This certainly isn't a small watch, but very comfortable thanks to the curved lugs that hug the wrist.
