Nicknamed the "Spruce Goose" after its mostly wood-based construction (due to aluminum restrictions during the war), it was the largest plane ever built at that time. Sadly due to a change by the Department of Defense, only one H-4 was made and designed to carry 750 troops or two 30-ton tanks. It remains one of the largest flying boats ever made. You can see the H-4 Hercules, aka the Spruce Goose, on display at the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum in McMinnville, Oregon, USA.

A beautifully executed watch with an amazing slice of history hidden within, only visible through the back for the owner's pleasure, that is pretty cool! The way this watch wears on the wrist is surprisingly good for a watch of its dimensions, plus the design overall really helps with that, from the sloping lugs, to the dial design and finish, everything draws your eyes inwards to the dial. It just so happens to help that this is the best-priced reference available anywhere!
