Points of Mention

This watch is sold with its original Junghans box and Junghans paperwork. The watch comes paired on its original black leather strap and steel buckle. The watch is from November 2016 and is in worn condition, however, I believe it has been very few times as it has been kept in great condition overall. The watch is running well and keeping good time and comes with our 12-Month NON-Waterproof warranty.

The Watch

Max Bill was born in December 1908 in Zurich Switzerland. In 1933 after completing his studies in Bauhaus design, he built his own house and studio. After the war, Max had a key role in rebuilding Germany under the Marshall Plan. In the 1950s Junghans was very interested in working with Max. He and his students created clocks and watches with clean lines, simple geometry, and unique typefaces. This 35mm Max Bill bears his name. Its highly polished stainless steel case with slim lugs and slim profile fits under a cuff effortlessly. A thin bezel holds the domed crystal above a white dial. Fine line indexes and lume pips mark the hours. Elegant pencil hands and center seconds hands are perfectly proportioned. Its Bauhaus Design is the “Power of Simplicity”. On the screw-in case back we have Max Bill signature. Inside a manually wound Cal. J805.1 25 Jewels beating at 28,800 Beats per hour. Fitted on an 18mm black leather strap with a signed buckle.

Personal Note

Junghans Max Bill is a quintessential Bauhaus design, yet it is one of the most affordable! I always enjoyed the design and build quality for the price!
