This watch is sold with its original Islander box and card. The watch comes paired with its original 22mm brushed stainless steel solid screwed-in link bracelet with a flip-lock deployment clasp, all links included. The watch is from Circa. 2021 and is sold in worn condition, but overall very fair condition as you can see. The watch comes with our 12-Months Warranty.
The Watch
Here we have an Islander Luminous Wave Dial Automatic "Samurai" #ISL-62, the 44mm stainless steel case takes its inspiration from the Seiko Samurai line of watches. Aggressive angles and sloping sides sit on your wrist like a cushion for a comfortable fit, the lug-to-lug length of 48mm and a case thickness of 15mm give the watch an impressive wrist presence. On the right side, a screw-down signed crown protected by crown guards. A unidirectional 120-click bezel has deep knurling for extra grip and a blue luminous ceramic 12-hour scale coated in Super-LumiNova, the double-domed sapphire crystal AR coated sits above a dramatically stylised Tsunami full lume wave dial. An outer blue minute chapter ring surrounds the sterile dial, thick baton hands in dark blue complemented by a traffic light counterweighted sweeping second hand. On the reverse, a screw-down case back with Long Island USA etched into it, inside an automatic Seiko Cal. NH36, 24 jewels, 21,600 beats per hour, this workhorse movement has hand winding and hacking for your convenience. The watch comes fitted on its 22mm brushed stainless steel solid screwed-in link bracelet with a flip-lock deployment clasp and comes with its Islander presentation box.
Personal Note
I couldn't turn this one down when it was offered to me, such a great design with inspiration from the Seiko Samurai, and with an all-lume dial like that, it just glows and looks fantastic on the wrist! I wouldn't hesitate if you are after something fun and affordable, or even a quirky gift for a watch person you know, this is it!
