Featuring a 38mm high-polished 316L stainless steel case that gently curves over your wrist with tapered lugs. Its curvaceous flanks lead to a lug-to-lug length of 46mm and a case thickness of 11.5mm, ensuring a comfortable fit and drawing design cues from Art Deco timepieces of the past. On the right side, a coin-edged crown capped with a unique Onyx cabochon. The polished, smooth bezel holds a box sapphire crystal, evoking the look of plexiglass crystals of the past. The beautiful dial is a pale blue shade inspired by the lightest shade of indigo, called \"white indigo\" ('Shiraai'), and is lacquered. Under different lighting conditions, the dial shimmers in the light as you rotate your wrist. An outer minute rail track features steel domes at the hour. The smooth outer ring is engraved with attractive black Kanji hour markers surrounding the stunning guilloche chrysanthemum wave-patterned centre. On the left side, the recessed guilloche 'Sensu' marks the Japanese fan-shaped power reserve. Kurono's distinctive sculpted, polished, hand-bent hands are complemented by a tapered teardrop-shaped, balanced sweeping second hand, finishing this elegantly understated vision of Japanese creativity and sensibility. The brand motif is found at 3 o’clock. On the reverse, a screw-down case back features the watch details around its edge and houses a now-discontinued new-old-stock automatic Kurono Cal. 9133PWT, 26 jewels, 28,800 beats per hour; Hajime Asaoka modified this Miyota movement by removing the date function and adding a power reserve.
