The Watch

Casio Computer Co Ltd was founded by Kashio Tadao in 1946. Based in the town of Mitaka, Tokyo. In 1974 they released their first wristwatch, the Casiotron with its unique ability to calculate the number of days in a month. In 1984 they established the GShock line with the GShock DW5000C their first shock-resistant watch. The company was turning over 80.6 million yens (£523700.30) at this time. 1994 saw the release of the Baby GShock for women. Later in 1999, they released the world's first GPS watch. 2008 was the year that Casio released the GShock Riseman, the world's first 6 multi-band radio-controlled watch. Casio today continues to innovate and expand its wristwatch range using the latest technology to bring value and robust design.

Here we have a 2022 Casio G-Shock CasiOak created in collaboration with IFL Watches / Dial Artist and limited to 170 pieces. IFL Watches is a web-based shop that offers exclusive handmade products. It is run by watch enthusiasts from their base in Stockholm, Sweden. The Dial Artist is an Artist/Designer called Chris Alexander. Based in the UK he has over 10 years of experience in collaborating with watch brands, Award-winning artists, and creative companies from around the world. The CasiOak derives its nickname from the iconic Audemars Piguet Royal Oak with its octagonal design. This specially customised piece has a Tiffany Sky dial that has been hand-painted by the Dial Artist. The 45mm grey resin case is highly durable. A lug to lug length of 48mm and a case thickness of 11.5mm give the watch an impressive wrist presence. Each dial is unique as he can’t replicate the splatter pattern. It has a  multifunctional analogue and digital display of the minutes, hours, and days of the week. The watch functions are clearly painted around the dial.  On the reverse, we have a screwed-down case back. Inside a Casio Cal. 5611. The watch comes fitted on a screwed-in integrated strap with a signed buckle. The watch comes with its Casio presentation box and papers.

Points of Mention

This watch is sold with its original Casio presentation box and paperwork. The watch comes paired on its original Casio integrated strap with its signed buckle. The watch is from February 2022 and is sold in unworn condition. The watch comes with our 12-Months Warranty.

Personal Note

This won't be for everyone and it's certainly even a little left field for us, and that's saying something! But I really like the idea behind it, I love what The Dial Artist is doing and this collaboration is a lot of fun! I don't doubt we'll find a wrist for this watch and that collector will absolutely love it, it truly does bring a smile!
