This watch is sold with an original Seiko box and paperwork. The watch comes paired with its original Seiko NATO strap. The watch is from August 2021 and is sold in worn condition, but likely worn only a handful of times at most. The watch comes with its original Manufacturer Warranty.

The Watch

Seikos history began in 1881 when Kintaro Hattori established the K. Hattori retail and repair store. In 1892 Seikosha was established making wall clocks. 1895 saw the production of their first pocket watch. 1913 saw the launch of their first wristwatch, the Laurel. In 1924 the first Seiko was manufactured. Daini Seikosha (now Seiko Instruments Inc.) was established in 1937. Seiko was listed on the Tokyo stock exchange in 1949. The Suwa factory became independent and formed Suwa Seikosha Co., Ltd. (now Seiko Epson Corporation in 1959).

Here we have a 2021 Seiko Presage Style 60s SRPG09J1, this new line is inspired by their first chronograph, the 1964 Crown. 41mm case that elegantly curves towards the lugs. A lug to lug length of 47mm and a thickness of 12mm gives the watch an impressive wrist presence. Polished and brushed surfaces transition with crisp edges. On the right side, a signed crown. The fixed bezel has a matte black 60-minute insert. A box-shaped Hardlex crystal sits above a matte black dial. The minute track surrounds applied double and triple baton indexes marking the hours. Hour pips coated in LumiBrite for excellent luminescence sit underneath the batons. At 3 o’clock a framed date window. Striking dauphine hands coated in LumiBrite complemented by a fine tapered sweeping seconds hand. Just like the original 1964 Crown. Text is precisely printed. On the reverse, a screw-down exhibition case showcasing the movement and its attractive rotor. Inside an Automatic Seiko 4R35B, 23 jewels, 21,600 beats per hour. Released in 2011 it is seen as a successor and upgrade to the 7S26. The watch comes fitted on a Seiko 20mm stainless steel bracelet with a signed folding clasp and comes with its Seiko presentation box and papers.
