Points of Mention

This watch is sold with its original Schofield box and paperwork. The watch comes paired on an original Schofield 24mm strap with a signed buckle. The watch is from December 2020 and is sold in worn condition, but overall very fair condition as you can see from the photos. The watch comes with our 12-Months Warranty.

The Watch

Here we have a 2020 Schofield Strange Lights Not Quite Green with a 45mm Titanium case. The watch comes in two colours, Not Quite Red and this one both are limited to 29 pieces. They celebrate 10 years of his watchmaking. Its industrial design adds character and uniqueness to the watch. Sloping wide screw-in lugs with a lug to lug length of 52.5mm and a thickness of 15mm gives the watch an impressive wrist presence. On the right side, a deeply knurled double o-ring pull out crown with a gold ring. A deep engraving SWC SL-1 (Schofield Watch Company Strange Lights 1) can be found on its side. A smooth bezel holds a flat sapphire crystal AR coated in nine layers. An outer ring in green was made of a specially commissioned custom SuperLumiNova. The sector dial has an outer Not Quite Green ring with applied numeral and dagger indexes marking the hours coated in C3 SuperLumiNova. An inner minute track surrounds its paler Not Quite Green centre, a nice contrast, brushed gilt-edged skeletonised sword hands have Super LumiNova tips. On the centre, the cap has a lollipop balance which they call “Sign-of-Life” second hand. At 12 o’clock the Schofield logo. On the reverse, a screw-down case back. The intricate engraving is a stylised 1950s UFO hovering above Smeaton’s Tower in Plymouth which also featured on Schofields first watch Signalman. Inside an Automatic  ETA 2824-2, gold plated and highly finished. The watch comes fitted on its 24mm Schofield light grey tweed strap with a signed Green ceramic coated steel buckle. The watch also comes with its Schofield presentation box and papers.

Personal Note

Schofield truly is doing things how they want to, for that, they will always have my respect! In an industry that seems stuck on copying the past and copying each other, Schofield truly is a breath of fresh air and I do absolutely love their designs! I personally wish they were a tad smaller for my wrist, but they do wear surprisingly well for their size and I really do believe you've got to come and try it on before you make a judgment on the size!

The Brand

In 2011 at Salon QP in London, Giles Ellis introduced the world to his Schofield brand. He is based just north of Brighton in Sussex on the south coast of the UK. He is part of the British watchmaking revival.
