This watch is sold with its original Pinion box and paperwork. A provenance letter is included. The watch comes paired on a 22mm Pinion leather strap with a signed buckle. Included is the specially made XL lizard strap made for John Cena. The watch is from March 2020 and is sold in worn condition, but overall great condition as you can see. The watch comes with our 12-Month Warranty.
The Watch
Founded in 2013 by Piers Berry based in South Oxfordshire, where he has British Horology Institute members in his assembly and service center. They are part of the resurgence in British watchMakers. Pinion's ethos is “grounded in building small quantities of unique and individual timepieces for discerning gentlemen''.
Here we have a 2020 Pinion Axis II Bronze. Made especially for John Cena with full provenance provided. The watch featured in the film Fast & Furious 9. A 41.5mm solid bronze case. The case curves over your wrist with tapered lugs. A lug to lug length of 50mm and a case thickness of 12.5mm give the watch an impressive wrist presence. On the right side is a signed crown with deep knurling for extra grip. A bronze bezel holding the domed sapphire crystal has an AR coating on the inside above a matte blue dial. An outer minute track with applied plots of luminescence, large Arabic numerals at 12, 3, 6, and 9 coated in Superluminova SLN C1-GL with the smaller minute numerals in between. Between the 4 and 5, we have a date window. The sword hands are made of brass coated in Superluminova complemented by a tapered arrow point second hand. At 12 o’clock we have the Pinion motif and at 6 o’clock “Axis Automatic''. On the reverse a screw-down exhibition case back with Pinion hunter green rotor. Inside an Automatic ETA 2824-2, 25 jewels, 28,800 beats per hour. The movement has hacking and quick-set date functionality. The watch comes fitted on a Pinion 22mm long leather strap with a signed buckle. Included is the XL lizard strap made for John Cena. The watch comes with its Pinion presentation box and papers.
Personal Note
It's not every day you get the chance to sell a watch that was featured in a film, never mind worn on a wrist of an individual as big as John Cena, both metaphorically and literally, this guy is fricking huge! Sold before it even had a chance to make it to the website, which wasn't very surprising!
