Points of Mention

This watch is sold with its original Monta box and paperwork. The watch comes paired with its original 20mm brushed stainless steel bracelet with a signed safety clasp and micro-adjustment. The watch is from July 2020 in worn condition, but very fair as you can see. The watch comes with our 12-Months Warranty.

The Watch

Monta is a sub-brand of Everest Bands, which create aftermarket Swiss-made watch straps and accessories. Justin Kraudel is the co-owner alongside Michael DiMartini, and David Barnes, of Everest Horology Products, based in St. Louis, in the USA MONTA was launched in 2016.

Our 2020 MONTA Triumph was launched at Baselworld in 2017. The 38.5mm brushed and polished 316L stainless steel case curves over your wrist with thick lugs. A polished bevel edge flows over the tops of the case with crisp lines. A lug to lug length of 47mm and a case thickness of 10mm gives the watch an impressive wrist presence. On the right side is a signed screw-down crown with deep knurling for extra grip. The stepped smooth bezel has a polished outer edge and radial brushing on its top. A flat bevel-edged sapphire crystal is AR coated on the underside sitting above a sunburst silver dial. The outer moulded rehaut has applied indexes at 12, 3, and 9 with batons coated in Super-LumiNova BGW9 to mark the hours. At 6 o’clock a framed date window. Arabic numeral indices and a segmented minute track are precisely printed completing this contemporary field watch. Broad rhodium-plated sword hands coated in Super-LumiNova BGW9 complemented by an arrow-pointed sweeping second hand finish the dial. Their faceted edges catch the light as you rotate your wrist. The combination of applied and printed indexes gives the dial depth. At 12 o’clock we have the Monta motif and at 6 o’clock a splash of red text “Triumph”. On the reverse, a screw-down sapphire exhibition case back. Inside an Automatic Monta Cal. M-22 based on the Sellita SW300. This movement is manufactured, assembled, and tested in Switzerland. The bi-directional rotor has the gold engraved MONTA motif and is expertly finished with  Côtes de Genève. The watch comes fitted on its MONTA 20mm brushed and polished bevel-edged stainless steel bracelet with a signed safety clasp and micro-adjustment and also comes with its Monta presentation box and papers.

Personal Note

This is one of the first times we have sold a Monta watch and I am incredibly impressed, having handled multiple on the wrist of customers I realised they were built incredibly well, but finally having one in stock I can see what all the fuss is about! Especially once they become pre-owned and value-wise like this one, it's undeniable how good it is!
