Points of Mention

This watch is sold with its original Schofield box and Schofield papers. The watch comes with its original 24mm leather strap and a bronze buckle. The watch is from January 2019 and is sold in worn condition. Overall, however, the watch is in very good condition as you can see from the photos. The watch comes with our 12-Months Warranty.

The Watch

Here we have a  2019 Schofield Bronze Beater 3 Blue Dial BBB3. Raw bronze is made for everyday wear and will naturally patina over time without any chemicals forcing the process, as you can see it has a dark even patina. Each watch is made in small batches and hand-finished making each one slightly different and unique. On the right side, a double “O” ring engraved push/pull crown. The robust 45mm bronze case has a lug-to-lug length of 52mm and a case thickness of 14mm giving the watch an impressive wrist presence. A wide bezel holding a flat scratch-resistant sapphire crystal above a two-tone blue dial that reflects the night sky and the deep blue ocean depths. Gold-toned framed numerals at 0, 3, 6, and 9 and inverted dagger indexes in between marking the hours, coated on SuperLuminova C3. An inner minute track is clearly printed in a gold-toned finish. Brushed bronze skeletonized hands have SuperLuminova C3 infill with the centre cap that has a small line which they call “Sign-of-Life” second hand. At 12 o’clock the Schofield motif and at 6 o’clock a red “B” and Beater printed underneath. On the reverse, a screw-down stainless steel case back, the laser engraved “B3” has a complex isometric 3D design. Inside an automatic STP 1-11, 26 Jewels, 28,800 beats per hour. This movement was first released in 2012 and has hand winding and hacking for your convenience. The watch comes with its original 24mm leather strap and a bronze buckle. The watch comes with its Schofield wooden presentation box and paperwork.

Personal Note

The Brand

In 2011 at Salon QP in London Giles Ellis introduced the world to his Schofield brand. Based just north of Brighton in Sussex on the south coast of the UK. He is part of the British watchmaking revival.
