Points of Mention

This watch is sold with its original Omega box & Omega paperwork. The watch comes paired with its original stainless steel Omega signed bracelet with folding clasp, all links are provided. The watch is from April 2019 and is sold in worn condition, though as you can see from the photos, the watch is in incredible condition. The watch comes with its manufacture warranty that is passed onto the new owner.

The Watch

Formerly known as the La Generale Watch Co. it was founded by Louis Brandt in La Chaux-de-Fonds in 1848. In 1903 they renamed the company Omega until 1982 when they officially changed their name to Omega SA. They are part of the Swiss Swatch Group.

Celebrating Omega’s maritime and dive heritage, in 1957 Omega introduced the 300 Seamaster series created for the professional diver. This modern Seamaster has a 41mm polished stainless steel case. Manual helium escape valve at the 10 o’clock position. A Black ceramic unidirectional bezel with dive minutes marked clearly, domed AR-coated sapphire crystal. The black dial has applied baton and disc’s coated in lume marking the hours. Skeletonised hands have lume tips, making low light visibility impressive. At 3 o'clock position sits the date window. On the case back we have the embossed Hippocampus along with Seamaster sitting on a deeply engraved wave pattern. The seahorse on the case back represents Neptune the God of the sea. It was conceived by Pierre Borie after seeing a picture of Neptune riding a chariot pulled by seahorses. It is the reason why the seahorses are wearing a bridle. Inside Automatic Omega Co-Axial Cal. 2500, 29 Jewels, 25,200 beats per hour, Chronometer Certified. Fitted on a 20mm highly polished stainless steel bracelet with signed deployment clasp.

Personal Note

Putting this up for sale in the same drop as the Rolex Submariner felt fun and got a lot of people talking and debating... In my opinion, this offers a TON of value in comparison to the Rolex, but the Rolex is the Rolex, so stop comparing and buy what you personally like! A truly great diving watch, easily worn with any clothes and on a daily basis, could be someones "one watch" for sure.
