Points of Mention
This watch is sold with its original Rado Box & Paperwork. The watch comes paired on its original Rado leather strap with a signed buckle. The watch is from May 2018 and is in fantastic condition as you can see from the photos, likely worn only a handful of times altogether. The watch comes with our 12-Months Warranty.
The Schlup & Co. watch factory was founded by the brothers Fritz, Ernst, and Werner in 1917. Using a spare room in their parent’s house in Lengnau, Switzerland, they quickly became one of the world's largest producers of watch movements. The first time they used the brand name Rado was in the 1950s. By the end of the decade, they had a presence in over 61 countries. Over the years they have innovated and created many distinctive designs, building a reputation of durability and reliability.
Here we have a Rado HyperChrome - Captain Cook Limited Edition R32500305. Based on their 1962 designed diver watch. At 37.3mm the case curves over your wrist towards the tapered lugs for a comfortable fit. Polished and brushed surfaces transition with crisp edges. On the right side is a push-pull crown. The wide unidirectional concave bezel with a scratch-resistant ceramic insert is quite unusual, making it stand out from the crowd, with the domed sapphire crystal sitting proud. Resembling the 1950s Breitling Superocean. A sunburst grey dial that in some light appears brown with SuperLumiNova “faux patina” coated indexes marking the hours. At 3 o’clock a framed date window. Arrow and sword hands polished framed infilled with SuperLumiNova complemented by an arrow point second hand. At 12 o’clock we have the rotating red Rado anchor with text in the same “faux patina” for that vintage aesthetic. On the reverse, we have a screw-down case back with the Rado three seahorse motif embossed in the centre. Inside an automatic Rado Cal. R763. The watch comes fitted on a brown leather strap with a signed buckle and comes with its Rado presentation box and papers.
