Points of Mention
This watch is sold with its original Omega box and original Omega paperwork, as photographed. The watch comes paired on its original titanium bracelet with signed folding clasp. The watch is from August 2015 and is sold in worn condition. Overall, however, the watch is in very good condition as you can see from the photos with some signs of scratches on the high polished areas. The Watch
Formerly known as the La Generale Watch Co. it was founded by Louis Brandt in La Chaux-de-Fonds in 1848. In 1903 they renamed the company Omega until 1982 when they officially changed their name to Omega SA. They are part of the Swiss Swatch Group. Celebrating Omega’s maritime and dive heritage, in 1957 Omega introduced the 300 Seamaster series created for the professional diver.
This 41mm brushed and polished grade 5 titanium case has chamfered edges and tapering lugs. On the right side, a signed screw-down crown. A polished ceramic unidirectional bezel ring has a Liquidmetal diving scale, Omega utilised the thermoplastic nature of Liquidmetal to perfectly form the silver markers. Its domed scratch-resistant sapphire crystal AR coated sits above a sandblasted deep blue dial. Inverted dagger indexes are coated in “vintage” Super Luminova marking the hours. Rhodium-plated Arrow hands and the sweeping second’s hand are coated in the same “vintage” Super Luminova. On the reverse, a screw-down sapphire exhibition case back showcasing the Automatic Omega Cal. 8400, 39 Jewels, 25,200 beats per Hour. A Chronometer Certified Co-Axial escapement for greater precision, stability, and durability. Resistant to magnetic fields. Silicon balance spring. Fitted on its Omega brushed and polished Titanium bracelet with Omega push release folding clasp.
Personal Note
I can never get over how light titanium is and especially when it is so beautifully finished how Omega does, you really think it's steel upon sight and then after picking it up and handling the watch you immediately notice the weight. The colour choice on this reference is what makes it to me, that against the slightly more grey tone of the metal.
