The Watch
Here we have a 2015 Graham London Chronofighter with a 47mm stainless steel case coated in black PVD. The case curves over your wrist with thick bevel-edged lugs. A lug to lug length of 55mm and a case thickness of 15mm gives the watch an impressive wrist presence. On the left side, we have the chronograph pusher and a Graham signature trigger crown protection system made of carbon. The screw-down crown has deep knurling for extra grip. The masculine lines continue with a smooth ceramic bezel and a domed sapphire crystal AR coated on both sides. The black dial has an outer Telemetre K/M and minute scale. Embossed black Arabic numerals mark the hours. At 3 o’clock a small second register and at 6 o’clock a bright orange 30-minute register. Between the 8 and 9, we have a date window. Large syringe hands are filled with Super-LumiNova complemented by an orange tapered chronograph hand. Its distinctive stealth aesthetic stands out from the crowd. On the reverse, a screw-down exhibition case back with a limited number of 023 printed on it. Inside an Automatic Graham Cal. G1747, 25 jewels, 28,800 beats per hour. The base movement is the ETA 7750 made by La Joux Perret with a modified rotor. The watch comes fitted on its 24mm canvas strap with a black PVD coated buckle and also comes with its Graham presentation box and papers.
Personal Note
This is the first Graham we have stocked at KibbleWatches, whilst it isn't particularly my personal style, the watch and brand are very fitting to what we provide here at KibbleWatches which is diversity and something fresh, this watch certainly provides that. I was amazed by the engineering that has gone into the case and function of the chronograph, again all done in a way that isn't just for show but is for function also. If you like big and bold watches, this is one you've got to consider.
The Brand
Graham Watchmakers bears the name of Georges Graham a renowned watchmaker in 1695 situated in London. Today they are based in the heart of the Swiss watchmakers in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. The brand was relaunched by a group of Swiss and British enthusiasts in 1995. Still, in private hands in 2020, they celebrated their 25th Anniversary.
