This watch is sold with its original Elliot Brown box and booklet. The watch comes paired on an originally fitted rubber strap with a signed buckle. The watch is from Circa. 2015 and is in worn condition, but overall fair as you can see from the photos. The watch also comes with our 12-Months Warranty.
The Watch
Here we have a 2015 Elliot Brown Tyneham Limited Edition of 500 pieces. Tyneham is one of their favourite UK coastal destinations. The 41mm stainless steel case is coated in gunmetal PVD. The case curves over your wrist with a lug to lug length of 50.5mm and a case thickness of 15mm giving the watch an impressive wrist presence. The lugs are drilled and have a screw for strap swapping with the use of the provided screwdriver. At 4 o’clock a signed triple-sealed screw-down crown with knurling for extra grip. The stepped bezel is case-hardened for scratch resistance. A recessed bevel-edged sapphire crystal AR coated sits above a matte black dial. An outer minute chapter ring surrounds a seconds track with lume plots, large Arabic numerals and batons all coated in SuperLuminova marking the hours. At the 5 we have a date window. At 1 o’clock a 40-hour power reserve indicator. Broad sword hands complemented by an orange-tipped sweeping second hand complete this highly legible field watch inspired timepiece. At 12 o’clock the Elliot Brown motif. On the reverse, a screw-down exhibition case back with deep engraving around its edge. Inside an Automatic Miyota 9130, the movement floats inside a proprietary shock absorption system and has hacking and hand winding for your convenience. The watch comes on its EB fitted 22mm rubber strap with a signed buckle and also comes with its Elliot Brown presentation box and booklet.
Personal Note
Elliot Brown, until recently, hadn't been on my radar and now I've had a couple in stock I can see why there is a big group of collectors who swear by them! The build quality is undeniable, the design is practical and looks fantastic on and off the wrist and the movements are super reliable! All of that packaged into a watch for this price point, it's impressive that's for sure.
The Brand
Elliot Brown was founded in 2013 by Ian Elliot and Alex Brown who have a passion for the outdoors. Alex studied Horology whilst Elliot created a hook, loop, and webbing watch strap and founded Animal. They met at a time when Elliot was needing expert help in developing a stainless steel watch. Alex turned down a job with Cartier to join up with Elliot. Their headquarters is in a working boatyard in Poole Harbour in Dorset. Each of their watches has a unique Dorset reference story.
