Points of Mention

This watch is sold as "Watch Only" and therefore comes with no original Tissot box or original Tissot paperwork. The watch comes paired on its original Tissot signed integrated Bracelet in great condition. The watch is a vintage watch and will show signs of wear, refer to the photos, the dial does show some more signs of wear. The watch has no known service history, but it is in running condition.

The Watch

The Swiss luxury watch company Tissot from Le Locle, Switzerland, was established in 1853 by Charles Félicien Tissot and his son Charles-Emile. Under Charles-Emile’s direction, they manufactured pocket watches with parts from Russia and the United States. In 1915, the company began producing wrist watches. Between 1920 and 1977, Tissot produced its own movements.  The PR516 has a 36mm stainless steel case that is bezel-less, giving it a sporty profile. A domed crystal protects the blue dial with a white chapter ring featuring Baton markers that are partly raised, allowing the hour hand to move underneath them. A red seconds hand contrasts perfectly with the white hands. A date window sits at the 3 o’clock position. Inside we have an Automatic Tissot Cal.784 21 Jewels 18000 beats per hour. Fitted on its original integrated stainless steel bracelet with signed clasp.

Personal Note

With any watch of a certain age, the condition becomes more and more important! This is an example of that, the condition of the case and bracelet is brilliant and is a real treat to wear. The blue dial and the detailing makes it even better, this will make a collector very happy!
