Slim stylized spade hands complete this attractive Art Deco dial. On the reverse a slightly curved snap-on stainless steel case back. Inside a Manually Wound 15 Jewel movement. The dial on this 1930s Roamer is stunning, the silvered tone with the gold-tone indices with Arabic numerals, interesting style hands, and sub-seconds. It is the perfect vintage tank with a classic case and dial.
Fritz Meyer (1859-1926), founded Roamer in 1888. He set up his headquarters and workshops in Solothurn, Switzerland. By 1885 they had expanded and created their first in-house movement Cal. 38. Which was to commemorate Fritz's 38th birthday. In 1952 the company changed its name to Roamer Watch Co. SA. 2013 saw them celebrate 125 years as a Swiss watch manufacturer.
