Louis Erard was born in 1893. In 1929 he founded his watchmaking school and a casing company in La Chaux‑de‑Fonds (Neuchâtel, Switzerland). He named the Company: Louis Erard & André Perret. Production of their first watches began in 1931. In 1956 they obtained permission to manufacture their movements, something only the very best achieved this accolade. For ten years from 1993 until 2003, the company remained closed. In 2003 the company was bought by private investors. Today they continue to expand the boundaries of Horology.
Our Louis Erard x Vianney Halter Excellence Le Regulateur is a collaboration of two great horology houses. Louis Erard offered his services to Vianney Halter and challenged him to design a model for the general public for the first time in his illustrious career. Those unaware of who Vianney Halter was, he enrolled at the Ecole Horlogère de Paris (Paris Watchmaking School). Graduating in 1980, he spent ten years restoring antique horology items. Starting his horological development company in 1994, creating timepieces for famous brands such as Harry Winston, Breguet, and Audemars Piguet. This exceptional timepiece is limited to 178 pieces. The 42mm round stainless steel case has a high polish. Gently tapered lugs curve effortlessly over your wrist for a comfortable fit. A domed sapphire crystal AR coated on both sides for perfect viewing angles. The multidimensional dial has an upper layer of circular satin-finished silver, transfers in black with an outer minute track—an inner ring of Arabic numerals indicating the 60 minutes. At 12 o’clock, a 12-hour register, at 6 o’clock, a small seconds register both cuts into the upper layer for a unique dial layout. The hands used are Blued steel, Vianney Halter's signature hands. The lower layer is a textured matte grey. At the 3 and 9, we have the logos of Vianney and Louis. On the reverse, a screw-down exhibition case back with a sapphire crystal window. Inside an Automatic Sellita SW266-1, 26 jewels, 28,800 Beats per hour. The movement has a modified Louis Erard rotor. The watch comes fitted on a 22mm "Oceania'' blue calf nubuck leather strap with a signed buckle. Comes with its Louis Erard presentation box and papers.

The watch comes paired on its original Louis Erard signed strap with its signed buckle, there is a little wear on the strap but in the box is a brand new and unworn strap. The watch is from December 2020 and is sold in worn condition, but overall great condition as you can see. The watch comes with its original Manufacturer Warranty.
