This watch is sold with its original TAG HEUER larger presentation box, papers and COSC certificate. The watch comes paired with its original 19mm TAG Heuer leather strap. The Watch

Edouard Heuer founded The Heuer Watch Company in 1860 in St. Imier, Switzerland. Chronographs have been the mainstay for Heuer and later TAG Heuer. Featuring many models and configurations, expanding the possibilities to the full. In 1958 Jack Heuer, Edouard’s son, joined the company. In 1962 the first generation of Autavia was launched. Famously worn in the 1970s by Formula One drivers such as Derek Bell, Jacky Ickx, Emerson Fittipaldi, Clay Regazzoni and Mario Andretti, and many more. In 1999 TAG Heuer accepted a bid from LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton S.A.

Our 2020 TAG Heuer Autavia Calibre 5 Chronometer WBE5116.FC8266 has the flare of a vintage pilot watch with a modern twist. The 42mm polished and brushed stainless steel case curves over your wrist with tapered lugs. A lug to lug length of 50mm and a case thickness of 13mm give the watch an impressive wrist presence. On the right side is a signed screw-down crown. The bidirectional blue bezel is made from ceramic with deeply engraved numerals. A domed sapphire crystal sits above a striking blue “orange peel” textured dial. The raised outer minute chapter ring with applied bevel-edged markers. Arabic numeral indexes coated in a thick layer SuperLumiNova adds dimension and interest to the dial. At 6 o’clock a framed date window. Thick sword hands coated in SuperLumiNova complemented by a sweeping second hand. The TAG Heuer motif is applied at 12 o’clock with an orange “Autavia” at 6 o’clock adding a splash of colour. Finally, underneath we have an Automatic Chronometer. On the reverse, a screw-down case back with an engraved propeller inside a steering wheel highlights the Autavia aviation and automobile history. Inside an Automatic COSC TAG Cal. 5 a movement based on either ETA 2824-2 or Sellita SW200-1. The watch comes fitted on its original 21mm TAG Heuer brown vintage style thick leather strap with a signed buckle and comes with its original larger presentation box, papers and Chronometer certificate.
