This watch is sold with its original Oris box and paperwork. The watch comes paired with its original Oris signed bracelet and clasp, the watch will fit up to a 7inch wrist. The watch is from August 2011 and is sold in worn, but very fair condition, as you can see from the photos. The watch comes with our 12-Months NON-Waterproof Warranty.

The Watch

Oris was founded by Paul Cattin and George Christian in the Swiss town of Hölstein.  They bought a factory and signed a contract with the mayor in 1904. Initially making pocket watches in 1925, they started to add bracelets to their pocket watches which soon transitioned into the wristwatch. In 1938 they introduced the Big Crown that was used by pilots who wore thick leather gloves and needed a big crown for making adjustments.

Our Oris Big Crown has a 40mm highly polished stainless steel case. A gentle curve of the tapered lugs with a lug to lug length of 48mm and a thickness of 11.5mm making it a comfortable fit on your wrist. On the right side is the distinctive big crown. A full coin edge bezel supports a domed sapphire crystal. The silver textured dial has an outer date track with a center indicator hand that has a half-moon in red marking the date. On top of a crosshatched pattern, applied golden Arabic numerals and dagger indexes indicate the hours. Elegant gold cathedral hands with lume infill are complemented with a sweeping second hand. On the reverse, an exhibition case back showcasing an Automatic Sellita SW200-1, 26 jewels, 28,800 beats per hour. The rotor is modified by Oris with its red colour and machine-turned finishing. The watch comes fitted on its original 20mm stainless steel bracelet with a signed deployment clasp and also comes with its Oris presentation box and papers.
