Points of Mention

This watch is sold as "Watch Only" and therefore comes with no original Tudor box or Tudor paperwork. The watch comes paired with its original gold-tone and stainless steel bracelet with its original Tudor signed clasp, the bracelet total length is 22cm. The watch is from Circa. 1994 and is in worn, vintage condition, but overall very good as you can see. The watch comes with our 12-Months NON-Waterproof Warranty.

The Watch

The Tudor trademark was first registered in 1926 by Swiss watchmaking company “Veuve de Philippe Hüther” on behalf of Hans Wilsdorf, the founder of Rolex watches. Wilsdorf took it over himself in 1936 and went on to found the company Montres Tudor SA in 1946.

This mid-sized Tudor Prince has a 32 mm Oyster case in 316L stainless steel.  Its polished sides and brushed tops taper at drilled lugs. A lug to lug length of 39.5 mm and a thickness of 10 mm ensures a comfortable fit on the wrist. A screw-down twin lock signed gold crown on the right. An 18k gold fluted bezel holds a flat crystal with a cyclops at 3 o’clock. The champaign mosaic dial has tritium tipped gold baton indexes marking the hours. At 3 o’clock a date window with a cyclops magnification. Gold baton hands have tritium infill. On the reverse, a coin-edged screw-down case back. Inside an Automatic ETA 2824-2 25 Jewels 28800 Beats per hour. The movement has been in production since 1982 and was based off the Eterna Cal.1427. The balance wheels are made from Glucydur instead of Nickel and a hairspring and mainspring made from Niravox. Glucydur is an alloy made up of beryllium, copper, and iron; Niravox is an alloy with anti-magnetic properties. Fitted on a 17 mm two-toned stainless steel and gold plated bracelet stamped with ‘Tudor Watch Co. Geneva Switzerland’ complete with hollow end links and a signed folding clasp.

Personal Note

Whilst on the smaller size anyone who has worn an oyster case will know they wear larger than their mm size, this wears beautifully on the wrist, especially if you are comfortable wearing a smaller-sized watch. The dial is incredible with its linen texture and the mix of yellow gold and stainless steel, an amazing option for a great price.
