Points of Mention

This watch is sold as “Watch Only” and therefore comes without its Zodiac box or paperwork. The watch comes paired with a well-suited 18mm quick-release leather strap. The watch is from Circa. 1960s in very good, worn condition. The dial, hands, and indexes are in very good condition for their age, the original crystal has crazing, it can be replaced on request and the friction fit bezel has wear around its edge, as you can see, and the friction is fairly loose as often seen on these models, meaning the bezel rotates quite easy. The watch comes with our 12-Months NON-Waterproof Warranty.

The Watch

Here we have a classic 1960s Zodiac Aerospace GMT Automatic 752-925 with a 35mm stainless steel case that curves over your wrist with tapered flat-ended lugs, and a lug-to-lug length of 42.5mm and a case thickness of 11.5mm ensures a comfortable fit on your wrist. On the right side is a signed coin-edged crown. The coin-edged friction-fit bezel has an engraved 24-hour scale in white and black holding a domed crystal above a glossy black dial. An outer minute track with Tritium pips surrounding applied facet-edged block indexes marking the hours; at 3 o’clock, a framed date window, steel baton hands filled with Tritium are complemented by a tapered second hand and a red GMT hand; at 12 o’clock, we have the Zodiac motif “Aerospace GMT” printed underneath, “Automatic” completes this vintage traveller companion. On the reverse, a screw-down case back engraved with the details of the watch around its edge, inside an automatic Zodiac Cal. 70-72, beating at 21,600 beats per hour. It comes paired with a well-suited 18mm quick-release strap and pin buckle.

Personal Note

Vintage Zodiac are often forgotten and overlooked in today's market and this means you can pick up some absolute gems for a bargain. This Zodiac Aersopace GMT comes in honest vintage condition and has all the charm and character that makes a vintage watch unique, featuring its deep glossy black dial under its original crazed crystal, rotating bezel with its brass appearing through, only adding to its charm. I would not hesitate to add this great example to your collection today!

The Brand

Zodiac was founded in 1882 by Ariste Calame. Their headquarters can be found in Locle, Switzerland. The name Zodiac was patented in 1908 when he started to manufacture wristwatches. In 1953, we saw the introduction of the Sea Wolf, one of the first commercial purpose-built dive watches. On October 1, 2001, Fossil Inc. purchased the worldwide rights to the Zodiac brand name for approximately $4.7 million.
