This watch is sold with its original Dan Henry box and Dan Henry paperwork, though the guarantee is unsigned. The watch comes paired on an original Dan Henry beads of rice bracelet, provided is also the Dan Henry leather strap. The watch is from Circa. 2019 and is in worn condition, but as you can see from the photos it has very little to no signs of wear. The watch comes with the manufacturer's warranty and is running great as you would expect.

The Watch

Based on the Grand Tourer Chronographs of the 1960s, its design is inspired by racing watches worn in Sicily and Monaco by the greatest drivers of that era. In 2013 Dan Henry created Timeline Watch which showcases his collection of many hundreds of watches. . Dan Henry, a collector for over 30 years, decided to create affordable watches in 2016 inspired by watches worn by the racers of their day.  This 2019 Evil Panda Tri Compax 1964 has brushed sides and polished lug tops, 38mm stainless steel case with slim lugs and 45mm lug to lug length for a very comfortable fit on the wrist. It's limited to 1964 pieces as in the name. A slim polished bezel protects the double-domed Sapphire coated Mineral crystal with AR treatment for better viewing angles under difficult lighting situations. Its matt black dial has an outer Tachymetre black on white for better contrast. Chamfered lozenge-shaped indexes with lumiNova ends. Slim baton hands with lumiNova infill tips. Triple white sub-dials indicating 24 hours at 3 o’clock, 60 minutes at 6 o’clock and 60 seconds at 9 o’clock. The dial gives the appearance of an “Evil Panda” and is so easy to see with its high contrast colouring. On the reverse a screw-down case back we have an embossed Aston Martin DB5 a nice touch in keeping with its Grand Tourer aesthetic.  Water-resistance is rated at 50m. Inside a  Seiko Meca-Quartz Cal. VK63 is a mechanical quartz hybrid which has a tuning fork type quartz crystal. You get the same kind of mechanical resistance when you engage the pushers and a satisfying snap back of the chronograph seconds hand on reset. Fitted on a 19mm Beads of Rice bracelet with a signed push button clasp.

Personal Note

Having had many Dan Henry and owning a few privately too I can speak to their incredible build quality, fantastic design, and all for a seriously affordable price! Perfect for someone wanting that vintage feel, but with modern reassurance and an easy to stomach price tag.
