This watch is sold with its original Ming box and paperwork. The watch comes paired with its original Ming 20mm 5-link bracelet in grade 5 titanium with a deployment clasp, and universal quick-release curved-end fitting for easy strap changing. The watch is from December 2020 and is sold in perfect condition, as you can see. The watch comes with the remainder of its Manufactures Warranty.
The Watch
MING is a collective formed and fully funded by six enthusiasts from around the world. The founder is Ming Thein, a photographer, designer, and business strategist. They all have a love for watches based in Malaysia.
Here we have a 2020 Ming 18.01 H41 signifying generation H, variant 41 of the design study that started when MING developed the 17.01. At 40mm Grade 5 titanium this is the largest MING to date. The thick scalloped lugs have a lug to lug length of 46mm and a case thickness of 13mm for an impressive wrist presence. On the right side, a signed screw-down crown with triple gaskets and a red safety indicator. The DLC-coated stainless steel dive Unidirectional rotating bezel with 60 clicks is filled with Super-LumiNova X1 with the first 15 minutes highlighted and the remaining 45 minutes are indicated with batons and between the 55 positions and triangle at 60 minutes “MING” logo. 3.5mm thick sapphire crystal with antireflective coating on both sides sits above a Two-part composite dial with an upper ring of ceramic HyCeram Super-LumiNova X1 segments marking the hours that have been fused to the sapphire dial Silver hands are filled with Super-LumiNova X1 complemented by a lollipop second hand. On the reverse, a screw-down case back. Inside an automatic ETA 2824-2, 25 jewels, 28,800 beats per hour. This movement has been modified by Schwarz-Etienne for MING adjusted in 5 positions under a 250-hour test program and has hacking functionality. The watch is fitted on its original MING 5-link bracelet in grade 5 titanium with a deployment clasp, and universal quick-release curved-end fitting for easy strap changing and comes with its MING presentation box and papers.
Personal Note
We have been very fortunate to have had multiple Ming come through the door this year, they have ranged massively in price and hype, but one thing is for sure, this reference seems to have been the biggest success for Ming in regards to customer feedback, those who have it love it and I can really see why! Wears so well on the wrist and the specs are very impressive.
