Manfred Brassler, founded Meistersinger in 2001. They are based in Munich, the Capital City of Bavaria, Germany. Their watches display time in the same way as the first clocks. A single hand is pointing to a moment in time. A very unique and relaxing method of reading time.
Here we have a 2020 Meistersinger Classic Plus Metris Blue ME908 with a polished and brushed 39mm stainless steel case. Beveled edges lead your eyes to the tapered lugs. A lug to lug length of 45mm and a thickness of 11mm gives the watch an impressive wrist presence. On the right side is a signed screw-down crown protected by crown guards. A fine polished bezel holds a domed sapphire crystal above a deep blue dial. The outer minute track is precisely printed with large Arabic indices marking the hours. At 6 o’clock, a framed magnified date window. The characteristic needle hand hits the minute track accurately, helping you quickly tell the time in this unique way. Text is printed precisely at 12 and 6, respectively. On the reverse, a screwed-down case back secured by six screws. Inside an Automatic ETA 2824-2, 25 jewels, 28,800 beats per hour. This workhorse of a movement has been in production since 1982 and was originally based on the Eterna Cal.1427. The watch comes fitted on its Meistersinger 20mm Denim blue strap with a signed buckle and comes with its Meistersinger presentation box and papers.
